The Pale Gate Rune (蒼き門の紋章, Aokimon no Monshō), localized as Blue Gate Rune in Suikoden II, is a rune which appears in Suikoden II, Suikoden III, and Suikoden V.
The Pale Gate Rune is a rune that can only be attached to the bearer's forehead. Whoever bears this rune is able to summon entities from a different world, called the "Empty World", to attack their enemies.
These envoys from another world are extremely powerful and boast varied impressive attacks, unattached to the traditional five elements. However, its most powerful magics made no distinction being friend or foe and so must be used with caution.
