History

Ha. Today was just a greeting. Tomorrow, your head will be decorating the walls of this city!

— Solon Jhee

Solon Jhee was the second son of the esteemed Jhee family, a powerful noble family within the Highland Kingdom. Despite hailing from a prominent family, both his father and elder brother lacked faith in his political acumen, leading him to pursue a career in the Highland Army instead. As a result he had something of a complex about proving himself. He ascended to the position of command within the 4th Royal Highland Army, leading Highland's initial offensives against the City-States of Jowston.

Notably, Solon achieved the rank of general at a young age. However, his relative lack of experience and considerable pride, likely stemming from his noble heritage, became apparent in his leadership style. Though by no means incompetent, he was known to lack prudence and discretion, and his ambitious pursuit of rapid success sometimes rendered him careless.

His position was somewhat insecure as despite being commander of the 4th Army based on Luca's backing even before Luca assumed complete control of the military, some officers, such as Culgan and Seed, seemed to view him as someone who only received his position due to his family connections. However, as Luca continued his backing of him after assuming the position of commander-in-chief, it would seem he had at least some potential as a military leader.

During the Dunan Unification War, Solon faced a series of successive setbacks, with one of the most critical being his ill-fated attack on the old ruins at North Window. Unfamiliar with naval warfare, Solon failed to consider the possibility of being flanked from the lake shore. This oversight proved disastrous, as enemy units arrived by ship, nearly encircling his forces before he was forced to retreat.

In the wake of this crushing defeat, Solon Jhee found himself unable to placate Luca Blight's wrath. As a consequence, he was swiftly sentenced to beheading, ending his life in disgrace.
