The Karaya Village (カラヤの村, Karaya no Mura) is a location which appears in Suikoden III. It is a settlement located in the center of the Grassland.

Information

This village is the home of the Karaya Clan, one of the Grassland's Six Clans. It is located on the southeastern fringes of the Amur Plain. It is a simple collection of settlements, made up of tented buildings with thatched roofs.

The village was razed by the Zexen Knights early in the War of the Champions, as part of a Destroyers ploy, but the village would be rebuilt following the war by Hugo and other surviving Karayans.

Wind and Earth

Karaya Village's theme in Suikoden III is the song "Wind and Earth", which is song 3 on disc 1 of the Genso Suikoden III Original Soundtrack.

During the attack on the village, the song that plays is "Karaya Ablaze" (song 29, disc 1). In the aftermath, subsequent visits to the village's remains have the song "Green Tombstone" (song 32, disc 1) playing.
