Fu Tan Chen (フー・タンチェン, Fū Tanchen) is a character from Suikoden II. He is the vibrant host of the cook-off contests.
History
Fu Tan Chen was the host of the cook-offs which took place between Hai Yo and his various challengers at the New Alliance Army Headquarters. Speaking through a megaphone, he would liven up the crowd with his energetic introductions but judges would sometimes take umbrage to some of his comments.
He apparently had the uncanny ability to instantly appear, complete with music, wherever a cook-off was taking place. When Hai Yo and Yen Qing dueled on Black Dragon Island, Fu Tan Chen suddenly appeared to announce the contest and vanished just as quickly when the cook-off was decided, much to both chef's confusion.
