Sebastian (セバスチャン, Sebasuchan) is a supporting character in Suikoden III. He is the fretful, but nonetheless diligent, butler of Budehuc Castle.

Appearance
Sebastian is a portly man, with long blonde hair meticulously set in curls. He also sports a small, neatly trimmed, black moustache. His eyes are rarely seen open.
He normally wears a blue overcoat over a brown waistcoat vest and white shirt, accented with a blue spotted neckerchief. He carried a handkerchief in the upper left pocket of his overcoat. He also wears white striped trousers with brown socks and shoes.
Due to his many roles at Budehuc Castle he is often seen carrying something in hand, be it a business ledger or a tea tray.
Personality
Sebastian is a hard worker who manages the finances of Budehuc Castle while also handling chores such as preparing meals for everyone.
He is a man who respects convention and discipline, as well as a great worrier. He is also very concerned about his appearance, and is especially particular about his hair, which he spends three hours setting every day.
Though conflict avoidant, Sebastian is a person unwilling to flinch from his duties, whatever they may be. Although timid in many ways, he is at heart a good person determined to support the castle until the end of his days.
He respects Thomas greatly, especially after the young lord's desire to protect and help the beleaguered castle was made clear. He also has feelings for Shizu and these feelings let him to often use the elevator even when he had no great need to.
History

Sebastian served as the butler of Budehuc Castle under several different administrators. Due to the lack of staff, he had many different duties, from preparing food to managing accounts and anything else that needed doing. Although easily unnerved and highly strung, he was fastidious about his appearance. No matter how busy he was, he would ensure his hair was set neatly every day, even when going to sleep.
When Thomas was appointed castle lord and learned of the grim financial situation there, he proposed to rent out the castle grounds to finance its restoration. Sebastian would object to this, citing that they would never get permission from the Zexen Council. Sebastian understood that such measures were needed, but he was also aware of the nature of the Zexen Council and found great difficulty in opposing them, even after the original common land agreement for Budehuc was unearthed.
Still, despite his severe unease at opposing the Council as they attempted to assert their control over Budehuc Castle, he continued to support Thomas through his hardships. Even when Thomas was formally deposed as lord of Budehuc Castle, Sebastian would choose to stand with him against the Council. Afterward, he would continue to support Thomas as the castle became aligned with the Fire Bringer.
His role continued unchanged following the War of the Champions, running the castle's finances and constantly fretting as Thomas' assistant.
