Anita (アニタ, Anita) is a character in Suikoden II who also has a cameo in Genso Suikogaiden Vol.2. She is a Falcon Rune user referred to as a master of the sword, love, and alcohol.

Anita, a formidable swordswoman hailing from the Nameless Lands, received her training in Kanakan under the skilled tutelage of Roundia Haia, a renowned master of the falcon-style of swordplay. As a testament to her skill, Anita was granted the Falcon Rune, symbolizing her proficiency and dedication to the art of swordplay.
However, her journey was far from solitary, as she found herself entwined in a compelling rivalry with another student named Valeria—both entering Roundia's gates on the very same day. Embracing the fervent desire to surpass her rival, Anita embarked on a journey of further training, seeking worthy opponents to test her skills. However, the road to excellence proved to be arduous, leaving her with few chances to demonstrate her prowess.
Already known for her penchant for relaxation and her reputation for beauty, Anita's affection for liquor often brought forth a more amiable and friendly side. While her rivalry with Valeria endured in the realm of combat, with Valeria having a record of 10-1 against her, Anita's charm and charisma granted her an undeniable advantage in matters of the heart (such as with Gary or Edward). Although rivals, the two respected one another underneath their barbs and bluster.
Impressed by the helpful spirit of the New Alliance Army's leader, Anita made the pivotal decision to join the ranks of the army. While her quirks may have been well-known, her commitment to the cause was unquestionable. Stepping onto the battlefield, she fought with an unmatched ferocity, contributing significantly to numerous victories for the New Alliance Army during the Dunan Unification War.
When the hero was reeling from the loss of Nanami, Anita would talk to him in a much more gentle tone than usual. Although she recognized his leadership, she also knew that he was a young boy deep down. Knowing the pain such a loss can cause, she tried to encourage the hero to not let his grief overwhelm him during that most difficult time.
In the aftermath of the conflict, Anita's journey led her to the Toran Republic, where she sought a long-awaited confrontation with her rival Valeria. However, the battle was unexpectedly disrupted by the sudden appearance of Nash and Millie, courtesy of Viki's teleportation mishaps, leaving the outcome undecided.
With her travels far from over, Anita ventured onward, ever eager to experience new challenges and eventually overcome her rival once and for all.
