Profile
Appearance
Luca is a tall, powerfully built man, with dark black hair and small, dark eyes. He has strong black eyebrows.

Biography
He is always seen in his royal armor, which was white, the color of Highland, with gold trim, with a royal blue cape. His armor consisted of a breastplate, pauldrons, bracers, greaves, and boots. Underneath he wore all black underclothes. He carried a longsword in a scabbard attached to the waist on his left side, marking him as right-handed.
Childhood
Born the eldest child of Sara and Agares Blight, Luca Blight was the crown prince of the Highland Kingdom since birth.

In 443, Luca travelled with his parents to Muse for an official ceremony. Following the ceremony, an embarrassing moment for Luca came to pass, where upon meeting Anabelle, he moved to kiss the back of her hand, as per Highland tradition, at the same time Anabelle moved to shake Luca's outstretched hand, shaking it and accidentally slapping him in the face. The young Luca was horribly embarrassed by the incident and in some ways would never forgive Anabelle for it.
Personality
Luca's cold, violent, and brutal character earned him the nickname the "Mad Prince", and he was feared by all, ally and enemy alike. His only joy came from destruction and death, and his greatest joy was reserved for unleashing the power of the Beast Rune. His hatred for the weak was speculated to stem from despising his own weakness as a child.

After the ceremony and just back in Highland territory, the entourage was set upon by a gang of bandits, allegedly hired by the then-Mayor of Muse, Darell. Agares Blight managed to escape and quickly journeyed to L'Renouille to enlist aid. Tragically, however, during the time between his escape and the arrival of aid, Sara Blight was repeatedly raped by the thugs while the then-9 year old Luca was forced to watch. Although the bandits were eventually driven off with the arrival of Han Cunningham and the 2nd Highland Army at the behest of Agares, Sara's mental state was destroyed by the incident. Meanwhile, the young Luca was traumatized and began to harbour an intense hatred of Agares for what he viewed as his cowardly retreat, as well as a deep-seated desire for vengeance against Jowston.

That said, he was also considered a general of the highest caliber and not capriciously cruel to his soldiers. He never killed a subordinate just because he didn't like them. However, he was an extreme meritocrat and had no mercy for those he viewed as "incompetent".

After the incident, an angry and bitter Luca set out on a journey in 444. Near Kyaro, the 10 year old prince found himself conned out of his funds by some bandits and pursued them after realizing he had been tricked. In doing so, however, he overheard conversations and lewd comments about his mother, making him realise that these were the bandits who had captured the entourage and raped his mother. Enraged, Luca set up the group, managing to murder them all in a rampage. He then returned to Kyaro to visit his mother who had been sent there to rest. However, her mind shattered, Sara no longer recognized her own son. Broken, and harbouring intense hatred towards Jowston, Luca returned to L'Renouille.
Luca was considered an incredibly skilled swordsman as well as a supremely strong and brave fighter. However, he never opened his heart to anyone and always fought alone. He despised his father, Agares, above anyone else but in truth held contempt in his heart for everyone. Even his sister, Jillia, was only spared due to her resemblance to his mother.

In 445, as a result of the violation of Sara Blight, Luca's half-sister, Jillia Blight was born. Her likeness to her mother, in terms of both physical appearance and personality, served as a slight buffer to Luca's growing instability and eventual madness. As he matured, Luca's already promising strength grew increasingly formidable, his anger and rage fueling him as he trained under Han Cunningham.

War with Jowston
Due to his outrageous brutality and cunning, compared to that of a demon, both his enemies and his own soldiers feared and respected him, calling him the "Mad Prince". His strength as a leader and a warrior made him overwhelmingly popular amongst the men of the Highland Army.
As an adult, Luca Blight was a truly terrifying man of immense stature and physical strength and of unbridled rage. His father, who had never been too harsh on Luca due to the incident some years prior which ironically earned further ire from Luca, eventually placed him in complete control of the Highland Army. With this power, Luca began to plan for his revenge on the City-States.

The year 460 saw Luca's ambitions come to fruition. Working with Rowd, the Captain of the Unicorn Brigade, Highland's youth army, the Unicorn Brigade was slaughtered soon after a peace treaty was signed with the City-States. Although the massacre was carried out by Luca's own soldiers, the blame would be laid firmly at the feet of the Jowston Army. The outrage and public outcry of such an attack quickly fueled the flames of war and soon after, Luca Blight launched his invasion of Jowston.
He harbored a hatred not just for the City-State of Jowston but for the entire world. This hatred stems from his childhood. For the most part, Luca's childhood was ordinary though he was always a temperamental youth. In 443, at the age of ten, the Blight royal caravan was attacked by what was ostensibly a group of bandits, although the equipment and training of the brigands indicated they were trained by Muse.

Quickly razing East Muse, the Highland Army camped at the border with West Muse. Manipulating Jowy Atreides, who had been captured trying to infiltrate the camp, Luca had him assassinate Mayor Anabelle and throw open the gates of Muse City, leading the principality to fall and the Jowston Alliance to shatter at a rapid pace.
His father would flee the scene and Luca and his mother would be kidnapped. Sara would be violated by the mob in front of his eyes. Eventually rescued, it was this incident above all others that sparked his hatred of his father, of the City-State, and of the world. He would avenge his mother by slaughtering the brigands involved but returning to her and seeing her catatonic broke the heart of the young child.

From there, Luca continued to exercise complete control over the military, executing General Solon Jhee after he failed to annex the South Window Principality following defeat at the hands of the new Allied Army. He agreed to give Jowy Atreides, now openly working under Luca, a chance to capture Greenhill City with a handful of men, and, suitably impressed once the task was accomplished, began to take him into his confidence.
In the immediate aftermath, Luca would sometimes show his hatred for Agares. However, as he grew older, he began to conceal it. Growing up, Luca received his instruction in sword fighting from Han Cunningham. As he grew older, Luca would take control of the Highland Army from his father, as he was a much more popular officer and great leader, though not necessarily a more talented tactician.

Working with Jowy and Jowy's strategist, Leon Silverberg, Luca plotted to poison his father, Agares. Agreeing to a marriage between Jowy and Jillia, Jowy poisoned his own blood. And so, when Agares drank a sample of Jowy's blood as part of the traditional oath, Agares soon died as Luca laughed maniacally.
Dissatisfied with the truce his father had signed with Jowston, Luca Bright would orchestrate the slaughter of the Unicorn Brigade and pinned the blame on the City-State in order to justify the invasion of Jowston and the start of the Dunan Unification War, a conflict designed purely to feed Luca's lust for power. His sister, Jillia, would attempt to dissuade him but Luca furiously reminded her that he would kill her if not for her resemblance to his mother.

March of the King
As commander-in-chief of the Highland Army, Luca actively led the Highland forces since the beginning of the war. He fought on the front lines himself at the head of his veteran White Wolf Army, delighting in the slaughter of both his enemies and ordinary civilians alike. He would massacre civilians in Toto and Ryube Village, mocking their weakness and desire to live.
Although his rise to King of Highland resulted in some defection from formerly loyal officers, Luca's power was now absolute. As King, he sacrificed the people of Muse City to give power to the Beast Rune with the ultimate goal of unleashing it on the City-States and eventually the world. In some ways, he tried to bond with Jowy over this but was tactfully rebuffed.

However, the working together of Luca, Jowy and Leon Silverberg was also a means to an end. After decimating the Allied Army at the Battle with the White Wolf Army, Jowy and Leon covertly cooperated with Allied Army strategist, Shu, to spring a night-time ambush on the King as the Highland Army marched to siege North Window Castle in the night.
At the Mercenary Fortress, he killed Pohl and would have murdered Pilika if not for the interference of Viktor and Flik. However, Luca was not satisfied merely with sacking villages and town throughout the country.

Surprised and ambushed, Luca Blight was surrounded by groups of archers and soldier after soldier of the Allied Army's strongest members. Even with all his men killed, Luca continued to fight on, falling back as arrows penetrated his armour. Eventually, Luca made his way to a tree where he noticed a wooden amulet. Opening it, a group of fireflies escaped, a signal for a further onslaught of arrows from the Allied Army. Wounded, but his spirit undaunted and the burning hatred in him unquenchable, Luca then battled Riou, the leader of the Allied forces. After a fierce battle, Luca Blight finally fell. His arm outstretched, he fell to the ground dead following his last words; "It took hundreds to kill me but I killed humans by the thousands. I am sublime!!! I am the true face of evil!!!!".
[[File:Luca relaxes in his tent.png|thumb|right|220px|Prune juice. After the capture of Muse City, Luca would begin a series of sacrifices to the Beast Rune, hoping to unseal its power and unleash untold death and destruction on the land.

As the war continue to rage and the Highland forces began to meet greater resistance against the New State Army, Luca would conspire with Jowy Atreides to poison King Agares. Ingesting Jowy's poisoned blood through a tradition Knight's Oath ceremony, Agares would quickly pass away on the floor of L'Renouille Palace. Finally, Luca Blight would be King of Highland, delighting in killing the man he hated most in the process.

However, aware of his escalating wrath, Jowy Atreides, through his strategist Leon Silverberg, would conspire with the New State Army to have him ambushed during a night raid on the New State Army Headquarters. Surviving the ambush and fighting off waves of New State Army officers, Luca would flee, wounded but defiant, as his men sacrificed themselves to allow him to escape.

The fireflies would be a signal for the New State Army. When spotted, a barrage of arrows rained down on Luca, wounding him further. Luca would finally be cornered by its leader in a vicious, final duel.

Even in death, Luca Blight would celebrate his own evilness, unable to show remorse and laughing as he was consumed by death. Finally defeated, Luca Blight's death closed the curtain on a life fraught with evil.
