Mathiu Silverberg is a famous military strategist who worked for both the [[Scarlet Moon Empire]] and the [[Toran Liberation Army]]. When he was younger, Mathiu served as a military strategist under [[Kasim Hazil]] during the [[War of Succession]]. He was the one who suggested that [[Barbarosa Rugner]] recruit his uncle, [[Leon Silverberg]], who had helped to raise him following the death of his father, into his forces. This proved to be what Barbarosa's forces needed and with the weight of their combined strategies, Barbarosa's victory was assured.
