Raura (ラウラ, Raura) is a character in Suikoden II and Genso Suikogaiden Vol.1. Raura is an directionally challenged scribe who creates magical scrolls.

History

Raura was a scroll maker, a rare vocation, who made magical scrolls by transferring the power of rune orbs into vellum. She was an old friend of Jeane, though like Jeane her background is shrouded in mystery.

Raura had travelled to the City-States of Jowston during the Dunan Unification War to visit Jeane. However, Raura had an extreme lack of directional sense. Encountering Nash Latkje in the forests near Greenhill City, she would ask directions to Two River City before setting off in the wrong direction. As such, she eventually found herself lost in Tinto City instead.

After meeting the leader of the New Alliance Army by chance, Raura would be guided to the New Alliance Army Headquarters where Jeane was also serving. There, she put her scroll making talents to use by opening a scroll shop in the castle. Like Jeane, many would visit her store just to look at her, with people admiring her from the shop's second floor balcony.

After the Dunan Unification War, Raura headed north out of a misguided desire to reach the southern Toran Republic.
