Free cards (フリー, Furī), rendered on the cards themselves as FREE, are a character card class in the Genso Suikoden Card Stories TCG.

Free cards are defined by the card rules simply as Character cards that do not belong to any camp. Because of this, Free cards can be useful to players whose choices are restricted due to their Mastermind card.
Free cards can vary greatly in stats and specialization and so they can be quite useful, not only in linking off of Leader cards but also in the construction of Facilities cards.
These cards usually represent characters in the Suikoden series without a strong ideological or political alignment in the events of the game they appear in.
In the first three expansions of the game, Free characters were listed before Craftman cards but the two classes would change position in Booster Pack Vol.3 and remain in that order for the remainder of the game's history.
