Rina (リィナ, Ryina) is a character in Suikoden II who also appears in Genso Suikogaiden Vol.2. Rina is a performer in a traveling circus group with Eilie and Bolgan.
History

Rina was a traveling performer hailing from the Grasslands, although she had been constantly traveling since she could walk. Her and Eilie's parents died in a bandit attack when she was a child and she has been taking care of her sister since, gaining far more experience than her age would suggest.
Since then Rina, along with her sister, Eilie, and later their friend, Bolgan, formed a traveling entertainment troupe in which Rina would perform as a fortuneteller. Her charm as well as her ability to observe people as part of her divination act were often key to the safety and survival of her remaining family.
Rina and the rest of the troupe stopped through the City-States of Jowston. After performing in the town of Ryube Village, Rina, Eilie, and Bolgan travelled briefly with the hero in order to reach the Highland Kingdom. Though briefly stopped by guards, Rina was able to use her sex appeal to convince them to allow the party through.
However, business in Highland proved poor and Rina and her party returned to Jowston, where they once again met the hero and decided to travel onward with him, eventually becoming part of the New Alliance Army. A traveler at heart, following the Dunan Unification War, Rina left with Eilie and Bolgan, leading the group of performers around the world.
Some time later, in Milit Village, she would help confront and defeat a band of thieves styling themselves as the Fire Bringer with Nash Latkje and her former comrades from the New Alliance Army. Having experienced the loss of her parents to bandits, she was determined to prevent a similar disaster from occurring.
Personality and Traits
Rina was said to be poised, toughtful and sophisticated as well as quite beautiful. Richmond had trouble believing that Rina was only a year older than her sister due to her maturity and confidence and Rina was quick to use this charm to try to gain what she desired.
Rina was very close to both Eilie and Bolgan and she would do anything to protect them. She worried about what would happen to them should anything ever happen to her. Rina also frequently mentioned Eilie to the hero, encouraging him to be nice to her and visit her. She also had an impressive ability to hold her liquor, beating Viktor in a drinking contest.

Trivia
- If you try and pass through the North Sparrow Pass after Nanami joins, she will try to replicate Rina's infamous convincing of the guards, but with more violence and less successful results.
