Rubi (ルビィ, Rubyi) is a character in Suikoden. Rubi is an argumentative elf who left the Village of the Elves.
History

Rubi was an elf who abandoned the Village of the Elves after pointing out its adherence to tired, old traditions, when Kirkis was a youth. A man who believed in what he saw with his own eyes, he left the village to seek out a way of life unencumbered by old ideals.
During the Gate Rune War, he travelled to Kobold Village where he encountered Kirkis again. He rebuffed Kirkis' request for him to join the Toran Liberation Army, but later reversed his decision and agreed after realizing what a great warrior Kirkis had become, transcending the boundary between races to fight for his beliefs, in his absence.
He fought as an archer during the war and following its conclusion, Rubi was welcomed by Kirkis into the Village of the Elves and helped in its reconstruction.
