Yuzu (ユズ, Yuzu) is a character in Suikoden II who also appears in Genso Suikogaiden Vol.2. Yuzu is a young shepherdess who participated in the Dunan Unification War.
History

Yuzu is a young shepherdess originally from the Forest Village in Greenhill Principality. She was separated from her grandfather during the Dunan Unification War. This threw the young girl into disarray. Without her grandfather's help, she had great difficulty caring for her sheep, who had become malnourished.
The leader of the New Alliance Army helped the young shepherdess, who was at her wit's end, find her sheep, who had gotten lost in the forest behind Kobold Village. In gratitude, Yuzu joined the New Alliance Army, where she took care of animals at the ranch, providing food for Hai Yo.
Yuzu frequently branded her animals based on their use. Only one of Yuzu's animals, Taro, was marked as not for consumption. In her mind, animals for eating and animals for pets were two firmly separate categories. Meat was her favorite food also, reinforcing that divide.
Following the war, Yuzu was reunited with her grandfather, and returned home with Taro. In the future, she would end up running a ranch near Tony's fields. When Viki accidentally teleported Nash and his friends to the future, they briefly met Yuzu as a young adult.
