Mace (メース, Mēsu) is a supporting character in Suikoden. Mace is a master blacksmith, with several apprentices across the Toran region.
History

Mace was known as the greatest blacksmith in the land, holding the title of master blacksmith above all others. He was also a good teacher with several disciples of his own before he disappeared without warning.
Mace moved to the isolated Seek Valley, working in solitude and perfecting his technique by studying new ways of forging iron. Although he wished to be left alone, Mace's disciples, Maas, Meese, Mose and Moose were able to rekindle Mace's passion and convince him to come out of retirement and serve the Toran Liberation Army. - Mace's weapon level when he joins you is 15. As Mace cannot sharpen his own weapon, he is the only character in the game who cannot have a level 16 weapon without cheating.
