Huan (ホウアン, Houan) is a character in Suikoden II. Huan is a famous doctor who loaned his talents to the New State Army.
History

Huan was a doctor of some fame and was considered to be the best doctor in Muse City. He learned his medical wisdom from Liukan, another famous healer, in the Toran Republic.
As a doctor he was known for his gentle and reassuring bedside manner. Once the Dunan Unification War broke out, Huan was forced to flee his Muse City home, escaped with the help of Georg Prime and found his way to the New State Army's headquarters.
Huan aided the New State Army with his medical knowledge, along with the aid of his apprentice, Tuta, in order to create a peaceful world where doctors would not be needed for war. His love of peace meant he disliked the power over life and death he had as a wartime doctor.
