Eikei (エイケイ, Eikei) is a supporting character in Suikoden. Eikei is a powerful martial artist who respects only those he perceives as strong.
History
|
Eikei is a powerful martial artist who uses his rare Lion Cub Rune in order to summon monsters to attack opponents and aid in training purposes.
Eikei only respected strength and was always wandering and looking to increase his power from fighting with warriors more powerful than himself. His claw weapons are made of steel and so he is able to use them to deflect sword and arrow strikes.
He joined the Toran Liberation Army after being suitably impressed with the leader of the Liberation Army's level of strength in Teien. During his time with the army, he opened a coliseum in Toran Castle. He also used his physical strength to aid the Liberation Army in combat until the war's end.
Following the end of the Gate Rune War, Eikei left to continue his journey in search of worthy opponents.

Trivia
- In the Sega Saturn version of Suikoden, Eikei will open a battle arena at Toran Castle. The player faces several one-on-one battles versus monsters and receives rewards. This is the only way to obtain the Darkness Rune and the Silver Dragon Armor which were not available in the original PlayStation version of the game.
