Mace (メース, Mēsu) is a supporting character in Suikoden. Mace is a master blacksmith, with several apprentices across the Toran region.
History

Mace, known as the master blacksmith, was known as the greatest blacksmith with several disciples of his own before he disappeared without warning. Mace moved to the isolated Seek Valley, working in solitude and perfecting his technique.
Mace's disciples, Maas, Meese, Mose and Moose were able to rekindle Mace's passion and convince him to come out of retirement and serve the Toran Liberation Army. He was able to forge weapons to their highest level.
Following the Gate Rune War, Mace let his disciple, Moose succeed him as the master blacksmith before retiring for good.

Trivia
- Mace's weapon level when he joins you is 15. As Mace cannot sharpen his own weapon, he is the only character in the game who cannot have a level 16 weapon without cheating.
