The Silver Wolf (シルバーウルフ, Shirubāurufu) is an enemy which appear in Suikoden II. It is the final boss of the game and the incarnation of the Beast Rune.
Information
The Silver Wolf was the incarnation of the Beast Rune, one of the 27 True Runes. This monster was given form from the sacrifice of the people of Muse City that Luca Blight performed during the Dunan Unification War. At the end of the war, it was summoned by the blood of Leon Silverberg in the throne room of L'Renouille Palace, turning the seat of the King of Highland into the final battlefield of the war.
The staggeringly massive beast resembled a two-headed wolf and was armed with a vast array of attacks and magic and was bolstered by the power of the Beast Rune itself. Its moon attack was particularly destructive and it was immune to damage unless the rune floating in its center was destroyed.
Even the greatest officers of the New State Army found it extremely difficult to rip victory away from such a formidable opponent.
