Shiro (シロ, Shiro) is a character in Suikoden II. He is a wolfdog who lives in the forest with Kinnison.

Shiro is a wolfdog who lived in the Ryube forest with Kinnison. Shiro, a mutt combination of both wolf and dog, was said to be highly intelligent and able to distinguish between good and evil. Kinnison and Shiro had been together for a long time and Kinnison seemed able to understand the meaning of the noises that Shiro made.
He's a real party animal! Woo!
During the early stages of the Dunan Unification War, Kinnison and Shiro encountered the hero in the forest after the hero had rescued a baby bird; sensing a respect for nature from him and dismayed at the damage the advancing Highland Army were causing, Shiro and Kinnison agreed to join the New State Army.
In Muse City, he lost Kinnison's trail and was walking along a back street when he ran into Nash Latkje. Perhaps sensing something about the man, he let out a single cry and walked away.
Shiro struggled with living at the New State Army Headquarters at first, but gradually came to like the castle. He even gave Gengen rides on his back. Shiro's speed and power made him a vicious enemy for the Highland Army to encounter throughout the war.
Following the Dunan Unification War, Shiro returned to Ryube Forest with Kinnison, always by the side of his master.

Find the bird's nest in Ryube Forest, just west of the entrance, and place it back in the tree. Leave the forest and return to the same spot after several minutes and talk to Kinnison and Shiro.
