The Second Battle of Muse (第ニ次ミューズ市攻防戦, Daini-ji Myūzu-shi Kōbō-sen) is a battle in Suikoden II.
Information

A battle of the latter half of the Dunan Unification War, the Second Battle of Muse City saw the New Alliance Army attempt to take advantage of the Highland Army's annexation of the Matilda Knightdom by marching on and securing the relatively undefended Muse City.
Although the majority of the Highland forces were in Matilda, units from several of Highland's armies, including the 1st, led by King Jowy Blight himself, fought in the battle. The battle was short with the Highland Army quickly withdrawing from the field, leaving their Karaya Clan allies behind to futilely attempt to hold the line.
Following the battle, the New Alliance Army would enter Muse and discover the reason for the Highland withdrawal. The city was infested with Golden Wolves, monsters created by the power of the Beast Rune. These beasts would reappear even when defeated and in the end, the New Alliance Army had little choice but to abandon Muse.
