Marcel Atreides (マルセル・アトレイド, Maruseru Atoreido) is a minor character in Suikoden II. He is the step-father of Jowy Atreides.
History
Marcel Atreides was a prominent figure in Kyaro Town. He became the step-father of Jowy after marrying his mother, Rosa. He felt no connection with his step-son and treated him coldly, seeing him as hinderance more than anything else.
When Jowy was arrested as a spy early in the Dunan Unification War, he had no guilt in immediately handing him over to the Highland Army as a traitor, and even denied Jowy's plea to see his mother. Later, Marcel would flee the Highland Kingdom on Jowy's ascension to the throne, fearing retribution.
