History

All right, I'm in. I'll cast my lot with the Liberation Army. Now let's win this war.

—  Quincy
Nice.

Quincy, a skilled and remarkably handsome hunter, resided in the forested regions of the Scarlet Moon Empire with the aspiration of achieving recognition for his abilities.

During the course of the Gate Rune War, Quincy experienced discontent due to the detrimental impact of the Imperial Army's actions on his hunting grounds. Despite his grievances, he refrained from joining the Toran Liberation Army, primarily attributing his decision to the perceived small size of the force and his unwillingness to partake in what he deemed a futile struggle.

The concept of timing held great significance for Quincy, both in his hunting endeavors and in life. He viewed the two domains as akin, thus meticulously calculating his actions, just as he would when pursuing prey.

Subsequently, when the tide of the war shifted in favor of the Liberation Army, Quincy seized the opportunity and willingly enlisted in their ranks. Within the force, he became an integral part of the Adventurers unit, leading a group of skilled archers against the Imperial Army.

Although he demonstrated expertise as an archer, Quincy chose to reserve his bow exclusively for hunting purposes. In combat, he skillfully wielded kunai, which served as his preferred weapons. While stationed at Toran Castle, Quincy found some enjoyment in his role but admitted it did not compare to the satisfaction of residing in his familiar forest home.

Following the conclusion of the war, Quincy opted to return to his peaceful hunting lifestyle, embracing a solitary existence in the wilderness, seemingly content with his freedom. At this juncture, the war had not yet etched his name into the annals of history.

Trivia

  • According to Murayama Yoshitaka, Quincy was originally conceived of as a roster-filling pallet swap of Kirkis with the idea solicited from within the development team. He was eventually fleshed out a little beyond that and ended up more of a swap for Sydonia.
