Fukien (フッケン, Fukken) is a supporting character in Suikoden. Fukien is the Head Monk of Qlon Temple.

Fukien served as the Head Monk of Qlon Temple. His long training as a monk appearently gave him some measure of insight into the flow of the world and the essence of things.

At some point, the virtuous Fukien became aware of the 108 Stars and predicted the gathering of the 108 Stars under the Starmaster. When visited by the leader of the Toran Liberation Army, he realized this was the person he was awaiting and that the wheel of history were slowly starting to turn.

Fukien also knew that the army had visited him in order to find a means to defeat Neclord and pointed them to the Cave of the Past located behind Qlon Temple, noting that what would be revealed there would be distressing. Once McDohl and his party retrieved the Celestial Sword, Fukien counselled McDohl to accept what he had seen in the past.

Fukien opened Qlon to all who wished to study there, including Sanchez, but was forced to eject the warrior priest Gantetsu for his increasingly violent behavior. Following the Dunan Unification War, however, Fukien welcomed a presumably changed Gantetsu back into the fold.
