Hugo (ユーゴ, Yūgo) is a character in Suikoden. He serves as a librarian working at Qlon Temple.
History

Hugo was a librarian and scholar who worked and studied at Qlon Temple in Lorimar. He was also responsible for the upkeep and organization of ancient scrolls and texts held by the temple archives. He was very knowledgeable and dressed and carried himself as someone much older, though he was a young man during the Gate Rune War.
His meticulous personality led him to despair if his materials and books were not organized correctly. When he noticed a gap in the bookshelf caused by the missing Illustrated War Scroll, he was anxious to restore it to its proper place. He decided to join the Toran Liberation Army after members of the organization helped him retrieve the scroll he had misplaced from deep within the Cave of the Past.
At the Liberation Army headquarters at Toran Castle, he was in charge of the library there, organizing and maintaining the bookshelves with his impeccable filing skills. Following the conclusion of the Gate Rune War, Hugo became a member of the Toran Republic government, being appointed the fledgling nation's first Chief Justice.
