History

Taggart faithfully served as a dedicated servant in the household of his master, Warren. His appearance was very slender, almost gaunt, and he held a deep loyalty to Warren. However, some considered him somewhat unreliable in his duties. Despite this perception, Taggart made every effort to follow any orders given to him, earning Warren's trust.
During the tumultuous events of the Gate Rune War, Warren was captured by the nefarious Kasim Hazil. Before being taken into custody, Warren entrusted Taggart with the task of relaying what had happened to the leader of the Toran Liberation Army.
When Taggart was discovered at Toran Castle, he remained tight-lipped, following his master's orders to the letter and refusing to speak even as other officers debated what to do with the intruder, until McDohl himself arrived.
Thanks to Taggart, the Liberation Army learned of Warren's plight and swiftly organized a rescue mission. Warren and Viktor were successfully freed from captivity in Moravia. Impressed by the Liberation Army, Warren decided to join their ranks, and Taggart followed his master, continuing to serve him as part of the Liberation Army for the duration of the war.
After the conclusion of the Gate Rune War, Taggart remained by Warren's side as a trusted assistant, demonstrating unwavering loyalty and commitment to his master's cause.

Trivia
- As full body character artwork was created as needed as production material for Suikoden (to inform color choices and other design elements for in-game depiction) rather than as promotional material for magazine and artbook reproduction, Taggart's artwork was not actually created until after the game was developed.
