Hero (主人公, Shujinkou) is a Leader-class character card from the Genso Suikoden Card Stories TCG. It is part of the Starter Box expansion and is numbered 008.

Release Information
This card was first released as card number 008 in the original Starter Box & Booster Pack Vol.1 release with artwork by Ōtsuki Beruno. It was exclusive to the Starter Box and was card number 001 in that set.
It would later receive a Premium Pack version using Suikoden II character artwork from Ishikawa Fumi. Its card text and attributes are identical to the original card. That card is card number 006 of the Premium Pack expansion and card number 263 overall.
This card was later remade for Genso Suikoden Card Stories Chapter II's Remake Booster expansion as CS2-383/R008 with updated artwork and card text to better reflect its abilities and the changes in the game between the original Genso Suikoden Card Stories and Chapter II.
For Genso Suikoden Card Stories Chapter II purposes, its CS2-383/R008 card text is considered an erratum to the card text listed here, regardless of if a player is using the original or remake card in their actual deck. There are no real differences between the different versions of this card in terms of play, however.
Game Text
This Leader card holds a passive ability. While on the field (i.e. deployed to a non-cleared Mission card or a Facilities card or stationed on a cleared Mission/Facility card), all character cards with a New State camp allegiance gain +1 STR.
Perhaps crucially, the card makes no distinction as to whether the cards affected are controlled by the player or their opponent; the only qualifier is the camp allegiance. Nor is the effect limited to the Mission/Facility this card is deployed to.
