Mao (マオ, Mao) is a supporting character in Suikoden IV. Mao is a bizarre horticulturist with a passion for mushrooms.
History
|
Mao was a mysterious man who appeared behind a locked door on the Headquarters Ship fifth deck. The door itself was mysterious as Tov had no recollection of planning or building such a room but Mao offered no explanation for this, or his presence on board, acting as if he had always been on board. His potted mushroom plants would take up one half of the entire room.
Later, Nao would also appear and begin to cultivate mint on the other side of the room, much to each other's chagrin. He would very rarely leave the cultivation room, engrossed as he was in his passion. Following the Island Liberation War, he would run off and hide, muttering about hating bright places and seeking a darker place for his work.
