Gunter (ギュンター, Gyuntā) is a supporting character in Suikoden IV. Gunter was a travelling gambler.
History

Gunter was a gambler who traveled the Island Nations while earning his keep with the dice games he played. During the Island Liberation War, he would encounter the leader of the Headquarters Ship three times; at Middleport, Na-Nal Island and the Kingdom of Obel and would end up joining the Allied Forces, believe this series of meetings was fate.
On board ship, he would wrack up frequent wins in Chinchirorin and other games against the sailors there, making himself some nice earnings in the process, especially when compared to Igor. He was not a fan of the sea breeze, frequently bathing to remove the odor. He ranked third in Lo Fong's ranking of men on board. He was also not above petty theft, sometimes stealing spare change.
Still, he became attracted to the idea of settling down in one spot and following the Island Liberation War would retire from the gambling life, opening a restaurant in Middleport.
