This card was available from any [[Starter Box]], making it quite common, although it is not obtainable via [[Booster Pack Vol.1]]. A [[Suikoden III]] variant of the card, with different artwork and effects was released as [[Runemaster (Booster Pack Vol.3 71)|468]] in the [[Booster Pack Vol.3]] expansion. The original version was re-released, with minor text differences, as [[Runemaster (To the Promised Land 254)|CS2-628/R182]] in the [[To the Promised Land]] expansion.
This card was first released as card number 182 in the original [[Starter Box & Booster Pack Vol.1]] release with artwork by [[Kyoto Animation]]. It was part of the [[Starter Box]] deck.
