This card was first released as card number CS2-122 in the original CS2 Starter Deck & Booster Pack Vol.1 release with artwork by Ōtsuki Beruno. It was a CS2 Booster Pack Vol.1 card, card number 097 in that set.
This card's artwork depicts Hugo battling the Fire Rune Incarnation in Chapter 4 of Suikoden III. This artwork indicates that Hugo became the new Flame Champion on this card. The trial refers to Hugo having to defeat the Incarnation to prove himself worthy of bearing the True Fire Rune.
