Keneth (ケネス, Kenesu) is a supporting character in Suikoden IV and Suikoden Tactics. Keneth is a knight of Razril and friend of the hero.

History

Is it all right for us to think only of the Knights and their safety? No, right? —  Keneth

Keneth was a Knight of Gaien trainee who graduated at the same time as Tal, Jewel, Paula, Snowe and his friend, whom he got along well with. He was an easy-going type of person who valued calm and collected decision making, earning him the trust of his friends that he returned in kind.

He held a strong belief in his friend's innocent after he was accused of the murder of Glen Cott, supporting him covertly as well as part of the Headquarters Ship crew. As befitting his personality, Keneth would rarely rush forward hastily and so readily deferred to his friend's command during the Island Liberation War.

Following the end of the war, Keneth would take up a leadership role as the Vice-Commander of the new Razril Marine Knights, serving under Katarina.

Two years later, a group of fake knights would spread throughout the Island Nations. These frauds would offer their help to travelers only to steal their valuables, sullying the good name of the Knights of Razril. Kyril accepted a request at the Quest Guild in Middleport from the Razril Marine Knights and they would come across and battle against the mercenaries at El-Eal Fortress. After the battle, Katarina and Keneth would join forces with Kyril, Lino En Kuldes having already requested of them to lend him their support once they had completed their current mission.

During this journey, Keneth was reunited with his old friends from the Marine Academy and invited them to a tour to show them how the Order has changed after they left the Knights. He also showed some concern on how naval warfare would change after the Rune Cannons will be dissembled but accepted that this is for the greater good. He was also very supportive of Katarina, assuring her that she was doing a good job as Commander of the Knights of Razril.

Keneth	I see...Okay, I guess I'll answer a little seriously.
Keen	Would you secretly inform me about anyone onboard this ship who you think is causing problems?
Keneth	Hmm...let me think...It is not that they are up to anything, but every so often, I see someone doing nothing. I think they should worry more about what they ought to be doing, but...I suppose I'm as guilty as anyone here.
Keen	Then, would you tell me what you think of the Hero?
Keneth	Hero, huh...I think he's a strong guy.
Keen	Finally, quietly confess the things you wish to atone for, or all the things that you are thankful for.
Keneth	There is nothing...I believe I am doing everything that I can right now. I need not be ashamed of myself.

	Before starting on your first mission, you are asked to form a party with Snowe and two of the following: Jewel, Keneth, Paula, and Tal. If you choose Keneth, he will join you there. If you do not choose Keneth, he will join automatically following the Regaining Razril naval battle.
