The Zexen-Grassland Armistice (休戦協定, Kyūsen Kyōtei) was an agreement scheduled in Suikoden III between the Zexen Federation and the Six Clans of the Grasslands.

Information

The armistice agreement was a planned cease-fire that was to be signed between the Zexen Federation and the Six Clans of the Grasslands prior to the War of the Champions. The Zexen Council privately regarded the planned armistice as a temporary measure following the loss of Zexen Knights Captain Galahad.

The aim of the agreement was to formally recognize the border between Zexen and the Grasslands, ending years of conflict. The armistice was due to be negotiated at the Amur Plain with Chris Lightfellow representing Zexen and Lucia, Dupa, and others representing the Six Clans. Amur Plain was chosen for its flat, clear view, deterring ambush.

However, due to a plot by the Destroyers, fighting broke out at the site, which each party believing the other had betrayed the agreement. As a result, the ongoing conflict between the Zexen Federation and the Grasslands continued to escalate, eventually becoming the War of the Champions.
