Kidd is a boy detective who puts on a red eye-mask and starts his investigations whenever an incident occurs. Although possessed with a heavy belief in his abilities, he usually remains unaware that the incidents he investigates inevitably turn out to be nothing worth fussing about.

During the [[War of the Champions]] he worked together with [[Hugo (Suikoden III)|Hugo]] to solve a murder case in the [[Duck Village]] (the victim turned out to be asleep after practising yoga and not, in fact, a mangled corpse). Joining the [[Fire Bringer]] after this case, he was available to investigate members of the group.
