A Restaurant (レストラン, Resutoran) is a business that prepares and serves food and drinks to customers, usually for consumption on the premises. It is a facility available in several games of the Suikoden series.
Information
Hai Yo, a cook who joined the New Alliance Army during the Dunan Unification War, established a restaurant at New Alliance Army Headquarters.
Originally capable of providing a small variety of dishes, Hai Yo would expand the facility's fare through the recipes that the hero sometimes brought to him and that he had obtained in Cook-offs with the Black Dragon Clan. He would also take advantage of the ingredients provided through fishing, as well as the castle's ranch and fields.
By the end of the war, the total number of dishes available at the restaurant exceeded 200. Naturally, the restaurant was very successful, and part of the restaurant's income was paid to the New Alliance Army as a subsidy. Min Min would work as an assistant and server at Hai Yo's restaurant.
Stocking the Restaurant
Farm and ranch items, as well as catches from fishing are used by the player to distribute across recipes they have collected, allowing them to build a menu. The player can then purchase items from this menu as well as use it to generate a small passive income.
These ingredients are not used up or depleted. They are a permanent resource that the player can redistribute as they wish.
