Rune master

A rune master (紋章師, Monshō-shi) is a vocation in the Suikoden series. It describes people who can equip and remove runes to and from their bearers.

Information

A rune master is an expert on runes who can extract runes from crystals to attach them to people, or remove runes from folk, setting them in rune crystals. During the Gate Rune War, Jeane served as a rune master for the Toran Liberation Army at their Toran Castle headquarters and later for the New State Army at their headquarters.

Some speculate that women were naturally more adept at handling runes due to the large number of women who worked in the field.
