Shapur: Difference between revisions

The protagonist's master and the family butler. He used to be a general. He doesn't seem like the type of person who would be a butler in a small village.

Shapur grew up in one of the countries in the Nameless Lands, discriminated against because of his pagan background. Still, he wished to become a heroic knight and eventually convinced the beggar Bamshard to train him in preparation for the knight apprentice exams.

Passing his exams, he would become a skilled apprentice, coming under Lord Alizade's wing as he grew into adulthood. However, Shapur would become disillusioned when Alizade refused to risk noble knights to relieve the common infantry under attack by monsters in a battle.

Taking matters into his own hands, Sharpur would save the infantry forces. Alizade would take the credit and glory and Shapur would finally become a knight in the process, though the honor was now a bitter one.

Still, he continued to fight for his country and rose to become a general, even as he felt guilt and self-loathing for not pushing back against Alizade's glory-seeking ways.
