The hero (主人公, Shujinkō) is the protagonist character from the upcoming Suikoden STAR LEAP. He is referred to as Chao (チャオ, Chao) in official gameplay footage.
He is kind and courageous, and has a charm that draws people in. He uses a Speed Rune that Stallion once gave to his father, Hou[1]. He also holds the Deer Rune.
His weapon of choice is the Fang Staff.
