Satō Takuya (Japanese: 佐藤 拓也), born on May 19, 1984 in Yamamoto, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan[1], is a Japanese voice actor affiliated with the talent agency Ken Production.[1] Know for his role as Toshiki Kai in Cardfight!! Vanguard, he is the voice of Shapur in Suikoden STAR LEAP.

Biography

Satō began his career in the early 2000s and initially worked extensively in dubbing foreign dramas. His first major anime breakthrough came in 2011 when he was cast as Toshiki Kai in Cardfight!! Vanguard, which led to widespread recognition.[1]

He is known for his deep, gentle voice and versatile performances in both anime and video games. Notable roles include Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Yu Kanda in D.Gray-man Hallow, and Vroon/Zenkai Vroon in Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger.[1]

Off-screen, Satō has been active as a radio personality. He hosted several radio shows tied to Cardfight!! Vanguard between 2011 and 2014, and from 2015 began hosting his own program, Yaremasu.[2]

Beyond anime, Satō has voiced characters in a variety of video games, including major titles like Tales of Arise (as Alphen), The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie, Rise of the Rōnin, and Final Fantasy XVI.[3]
