Hou (ホウ, Hō) is a character from the upcoming Suikoden STAR LEAP.
History
The protagonist's father and village chief. In the past he was quick to get into fights, but he managed to bring together the wild characters and build a new village. He has connections with important people from various countries, and his past is shrouded in mystery.
Hou was originally from the Island Nations. He left home when he was 13 to see the world. He would become good friends with Orhan and Bramante, the three traveling and working together.
Hou first met Shapur in SY 434 as a mercenary hired to participate in Shapur's nation's attack on the Free Knights of Camaro. A conversation with Sharpur about how he traveled the world would open the Azure Lancer's eyes to future possibilities.[1]
During the battle with Camaro, Hou would convince Shapur to ignore an order to sacrifice his men, instead proposing a solution that would save many more lives. Afterwards, watching Shapur be reprimanded, Hou would attack Alizade for being so callous about his men's lives.
Sentenced to execution, Shapur would help Hou escape, deciding to join him on his travels.[2]
Stallion also once gifted a Speed Rune to Hou and it would eventually be used by his son[3].
