The Earth Shield (大地のたて, Daichi no Tate) is a type of equipment available in several games of the Suikoden series.
The Earth Shield is the strongest shield available in the first three Suikoden titles.
Information
The strongest shield, boasting immense strength. This shield is said to harbor the power of the Earth Rune and is the finest shield available in the entire Toran region.
Its rarity was such that during the Gate Rune War, it could only be obtained by either defeating the Magic Shield creatures that appeared in the Dragon's Den or purchasing it in Gregminster at the very end of the war.
It was also very rare in the Dunan region, with only one being kept in a treasure chest in Rockaxe Castle. It reduces damage from earth elemental attacks and prevents abnormal status effects such as poison.
In the Grasslands these shields could only be found in dangerous locations such as the Ruins of Cyndar.
