Orosk Village (オロスク村, Orosuku Mura) is a location in Genso Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki. It is a provincial village led by Chief Boldon.
Information
A small village located northeast of the Holy Empire of Ionia, Orosk Village was noted for its high number of quality craftsmen. In the past, the Holy Imperial Army's 4th Branch had a heavy presence in the village. Orosk Village Chief Boldon was noted to have prevent the Ionian army from being too harsh on the village.
Before Boldon became village chief, a wyvern had destroyed a rock face by Epat Bridge, leaving it impassable. Boldon had planned to clear the bridge at some point but the beginning of the HIY 300 Teras Pharma conflict delayed this.
With the rise of the Vermilion Axe, Orosk Village soon found itself occupied by this new insurgency. Opinions among the populace were split. Though some cooperated with the Vermilion Axe out of fear, rather than genuine agreement with their goals, others willingly joined the organization.
Soon after, villagers and craftsmen who had refused to work for the Vermilion Axe producing weapons or showed Ionian sympathies went missing. Chief Boldon also vanished as he sought to find the missing villagers. With the aid of the hero and his comrades, the missing villagers were rescued from a Mountain Cavern where they had been taken by the Vermilion Axe to be fed to their Teras Pharma.
Following this, the Vermilion Axe willing abandoned Orosk Village, as their goal as to march on Ionia itself. The village's sympathies would turn completely towards the hero's Company at this point and would remain the case for the remainder of the conflict. Following the fall of the barrier, the entire village would be abandoned as its populace followed Boldon as he struck north to establish a new settlement.
