Mephitis (メフィティス, Mefitisu) is a supporting character in Genso Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki. Mephitis is a poison arrow maker whose voice has been irreparably damaged by her work.

History

Mephitis was a bowyer, originally from the lower classes of Achlites, living in a remote area on the Riolta Plains. In the past, she accompanied Suomjin and others on their travels and was devoted to researching new forms of poisoned arrows for the war against the Teras Pharma.

As a result of her research into poisons, her throat has been damaged and she became unable to speak, barely being able to squeeze out single syllable sounds. Suomjin would aid her in communicating with others. She spent her time after the war researching safe techniques for making poisoned arrows so that future generations of bowyers would not suffer the same fate.

Ouya and Ephil could learn her poison arrow technique. Ephil was at first slightly dismissive of poison arrows, but after realizing the care Mephitis put into her work in order to make the arrows non-dangerous, save to the target, apologized profusely.

Following the fall of the barrier, Mephitis worked with Suomjin and Chamjin on the handling of new poisons found by the emigrant caravans and how to detoxify them.

	After learning from Suomjin and gaining access to the Riolta Plains (Present), speak to Suomjin at Tios Fortress (100 Years Ago). Travel to Riolta Plains (100 Years Ago) and find the Contaminated Water in the western part of the area and bring it to Mephitis.
