Wafdi (ワフディ, Wafudi) is a supporting character in Genso Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki. He is a young arrow-maker, working hard to protect his village from the Teras Pharma.
History
|
Wafdi was an arrow craftsman from Hodos Village and the grandfather of Moudi. As a youth, his skill as a craftsman was still growing but his creativity and eye for his work surpassed many. He was also willing to follow his intuitions. He had fought against the Teras Pharma before in order to protect his village.
Meeting the hero, he would be distressed to find out that Hodos Village would be lost to flood waters in the future but brightened up when encouraged to reinforce the embankment. In actuality, he resigned himself to the village's fate, making excuses not to reinforce the embankment and change the future but was brought out of his stupor.
Later, Wafdi would meet his grandson, Moudi, who had traveled back in time with the corps. Their meetings would be slightly awkward, Mordi only having vague memories of an elderly man who died during his youth and Wafdi naturally not knowing anything of his future grandchild. Still, the two got along.
Wafdi occasionally did work at Tios Fortress and would be charged with planting the Era Tree sapling there in the year 200. He would also pass down his arrow fletching skills to the members of the corps, being somewhat besotted with Ephil and impressed with Ouya's dedication to the craft.
Following the fall of the barrier, with the flooding of Hodos imminent, he would lead the people of Hodos as they joined the western migrant convoy. In a branch of the Infinity where Renefarious continued to reign, he remained in Hodos Village, eventually taking Mezwar's book and keeping it as a family heirloom for his grandson.
