Fujimatsu Shinya
More actions
Fujimatsu Shinya (藤松 信也) is a Japanese video game producer at Konami. He has been involved in Konami's game development for over 20 years.[1] Fujimatsu began his career at Konami as a console game programmer and later moved into mobile game development. Over time he has served in roles such as planner, director, and producer.[1] He is best known as the producer of Suikoden STAR LEAP, the series’ first mobile installment, announced in 2025.[1]
Career
Fujimatsu’s early work at Konami included programming for home console titles and then developing mobile games. In 2012 he served as assistant producer on the action title NeverDead.[2] He continued to advance within Konami's production teams, holding positions from planner to producer.[1] In March 2020 Konami announced his promotion from assistant producer to section chief of the 1st Production Headquarters planning office.[3]
Suikoden series
Fujimatsu had not worked on the Suikoden series before STAR LEAP.[1] As producer of Suikoden STAR LEAP, he oversees the series' transition to mobile platforms. He noted that the goal was to let more people experience Suikoden via mobile while still "carrying the soul" of the series, approaching STAR LEAP with "the mindset of creating a numbered entry."[1] Fujimatsu explained that STAR LEAPs main story would be set in Suikodens official timeline and would focus on a new set of 108 Stars, making it part of the series canon.[1] Sakiyama Takahiro, the series' established IP director, is supervising the project.[1]
