Information
Fairpeak, historically, was a town with an independent streak located in the Holy Empire of Ionia's claimed northwestern lands, close to Mt. Hioni.
Over the years, there had been much resentment towards Ionia from the populace. Its proximity to the Ionian homeland resulted in additional tensions, though it had not suffered in the same way as Schradt, Martylion, or Hioni Village. Even so, it had allied with Ionia in the HIY 200 Teras Pharma conflict, forming a volunteer army alongside Martylion, stationed at Tios Fortress.
The town would be occupied by the 3rd Branch of the Holy Imperial Army to act as a base against the Vermilion Axe. Most of the townspeople welcomed this due to their fear of the Vermilion Axe. Though some, like Najin, resented the swift capitulation of autonomy in exchange for security.
Even after the 3rd Branch abandoned Fairpeak, most of the populace clung to them as their hope for security. Once the 3rd Branch was defeated at Martylion, however, their newfound faith in Ionian might wavered and they turned to the Company to protect Fairpeak instead.
