Halad (バラド, Balado) is a background character mentioned in Suikoden V. He is the founder of the New Armes Kingdom.
History
Halad was the first king of the New Armes Kingdom. Around SY 140, Halad of the Ishvaak Clan raised an army to unite the five major clans located on the eastern southern continent, on the opposite shore of Falena, across the Straits of Scardi.
The Queendom of Falena supported Halad in his quest as they too wished for the eastern lands to be pacified. After more than a dozen years of war, Halad succeeded in his quest, founding the New Armes Kingdom. However, as the choice in name for this new country made a direct claim to the lineage of the Ancient Armes Dynasty and, by extension, the Sun Rune, this began an almost instant deterioration in relations between Armes and Falena.
