Clant (クラント, Kuranto) is a minor antagonist in Genso Suikogaiden Vol.2. He is a former Matilda Knight who turned to banditry after the death of Gordeau.

History

During the Dunan Unification War, Clant was a Matilda Knight and the vice-commander of the White Knights, the right-hand man of Gordeau himself. He wielded a Rage Rune and was said to be as skilled a fighter as Camus, leader of the Red Knights.

Whereas Camus and Miklotov left the Knights to join the New Alliance Army, Clant remained loyal to Gordeau. Only once Gordeau fell did Clant abandon Rockaxe, escaping to the Grasslands with a handful of his men. There, he used his skill with the Rage Rune to portray himself as the Flame Champion and his men as the Fire Bringer, using the Grasslands legends to aid in their banditry in the area.

Clant would eventually try and extort the village of Milit of its supplies using this scheme. He was initially successful in convincing Mayor Clad to agree to his demands but was thwarted this time by Camus and Miklotov, among others and died in combat.
