Schradt (シュラート, Shurāto) is a location in Genso Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki. It is a provincial town with a bitter history as regards the Holy Empire of Ionia.
Information
Located in the northeastern expanses of the land, Schradt is a prominent town with an acrimonious history as regards the Holy Empire of Ionia. It had historically trended towards independence.
In HIY 250, the town would be razed by the Holy Imperial Army due to its impertinence, destroying it completely. Over time, the town would be completely rebuilt as a modern town, but many of its citizens, especially older survivors of the original attack, continued to resent Ionia.
Still, the town could continue to prosper and would cooperate with Ionia on occasion. Even the rise of Aaron Barcai, who had lost his family during the Martylion tragedy, as the mayor did nothing to stem Schradt's cooperation with Ionia on a strictly necessary basis.
The HIY 300 Teras Pharma attacks saw Schradt briefly hesitate on confronting the issue as there was some worry that this would invite Ionian interference. However, these concerns were quickly proven moot with the rise of the Vermilion Axe.
The Vermilion Axe swiftly unleashed their own Teras Pharma, which would quickly rampage, destroying Schradt and the Ionian 4th Branch which had begun preparations for the battle against the creatures. Brought to rubble once again, Schradt played little role in the ongoing war, concentrating on reconstruction efforts with the help of nearby Therbe Village.
Following Renefarious's defeat in the year 200, Rolf Laug would put his energies into preventing Schradt from being razed 50 years later, while Ingolf became the town's mayor, hoping to establish peaceful relations with the Holy Empire. In the branch of the Infinity where causality was severed between the three time periods, reconstruction continued apace in Schradt.
