The Wyvern (ワイバーン, Waibān) is a boss enemy in Genso Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki.
Information
The monstrous wyvern dates back to at least HIY 200 Teras Pharma conflict, where its great strength allowed it to survive. It is known as "the shadow that carries the dead" and "the one that tears the sky".
It would survive into HIY 300, normally in its cave at the Wyvern Nest but occasionally emerging and causing great damage, such as when it destroyed the route to Epat Bridge. In order to clear the blockage and pursue the Vermilion Axe across the bridge, the Company would choose to use the Era Tree to travel back to HIY 200 and, alongside the warrior Badamhatan, would manage to defeat the fearsome beast in combat.
As such, the wyvern never lived beyond HIY 200 and so the path across Epat Bridge was never blocked to begin with, allowing the Company swift access. Later, Guilleriga would lament that he had not been there when the Company battled the dreaded wyvern.
