Krakens (クラーケン, Kurāken) are a race of animals that exist in the Suikoden series. Quite rare, only a handful has appeared in the series.
Information
Krakens were a species of giant squid. It was known that they matured in 3-5 years from birth but had a long spawning cycle.
Equatable in appearance to a giant squid, they were said to be highly intelligent and could understand speech, though their biology prevented them from being able to speak themselves. They seemed to prefer to nest in dark and narrow places.
During the Dunan Unification War, the krakens Abizboah and Rulodia were found residing deep within the Tinto Mines. The infant kraken Chuchara would also be spotted at New State Army Headquarters.
